1. Women’s History Month at NPR

Enjoy Women’s History Month with a woman influenced Spotify playlist entitled NPR Digital Services - Women’s History Month. It highlights a range of powerful women including Darlene Love, Bonnie Raitt, Loretta Lynn and Beyoncé.

The playlist, inspired by NPR’s Cabin Fever Playlist and Monika Evstatieva at All Things Considered, is part of a wider celebration here at NPR.

We’re also hosting a two-week trivia contest, a book club featuring foundational essays in women’s history and a cocktail party featuring food and drinks named for women - think Shirley Temples (ginger ale and a splash of grenadine) and Madeleines (gin, pineapple juice, coconut liqueur, passion fruit liqueur).

In true NPR spirit, we care what our listeners want! If there’s something that should be on the list - tell us! Contact the list creator and curator Jessica Soberman.

Happy National Woman’s History Month from NPR Digital Services!

Best timesheet email reminder OF THE YEAR!

    Hi all,

I know we just did all this, but if you are intending to disappear soon and not return until after Jan 1, then you might want to consider updating your time sheet before you leave.

For those of you of Mayan descent/beliefs who believe the world is going to end on Friday, I would appeal to your desire to leave this plane of existence with a clean slate.  Do your timesheet anyway, as this will please the gods.

For those of you who are aware that the Mayan calendar is cyclical and time is just going to begin all over again and the momentous event that will mark the shift from one era to the next is that Kronos will work properly for you, please note that there will not be separate time sheets for the two eras.  HR will work in conjunction with Finance to assure proper accounting procedures pertaining to the apocalypse are followed.

    Thank you.
